Vem bör inte använda Estramon Comp?
Du bör inte använda Estramon Comp om:

- Du har obehandlad endometriehyperplasi
- Du har eller har haft blodproppar

Graviditet och amning
Estramon Comp är inte ett preventivmedel.

Estramon Comp bör inte användas under amning.

Estramon Comp is not a continuous combined HRT. It is a sequential (cyclical) hormone replacement therapy patch, meaning oestrogen is used alone during part of the cycle and combined with a progestogen during another part. Because of this regimen, a monthly withdrawal bleed may occur.
Why does [Product name] cause a monthly bleed?
Estramon Comp may cause a predictable monthly bleed because the progestogen phase triggers shedding of the womb lining. This scheduled bleeding is expected in sequential HRT and does not usually indicate a problem.
What is the difference between Estramon Comp and Estramon Conti?
Estramon Comp is a sequential HRT patch that may cause monthly bleeding. Estramon Conti is a continuous combined HRT patch designed to avoid regular bleeding. The choice depends on how long it has been since menopause and individual treatment goals.
What is the difference between Estramon Comp, Conti, Sequi and Estramon?
Estramon products differ in whether they contain estrogen alone or a combination of estrogen and progestogen, and whether they are used sequentially or continuously.
- Estramon – Estrogen-only patch. Usually prescribed for women who have had a hysterectomy.
- Estramon Sequi – Sequential HRT. Estrogen first, then estrogen plus progestogen. Monthly bleed expected.
- Estramon Comp – Sequential combined HRT. Also follows a cyclical regimen and may cause a monthly bleed.
- Estramon Conti – Continuous combined HRT. Both hormones are delivered continuously and regular bleeding is not expected.
