Permethrin

A topical antiparasitic used primarily for scabies and lice. It is available as a cream (5%) for scabies and lotion (1%) for lice. 

Primarily scabies treatment; also prescribed for head and pubic lice infestations, depending on the formulation. 

It disrupts nerve function in mites and lice by altering sodium transport across their membranes, causing paralysis and death.
